Description of Search Functions
To search the entire GMR database for CD information, click on the white search for field and type your query string. Clicking on the Go Find It button would then search the entire database for your specified data item on the default search settings. To search for longer strings containing spaces or wildcards, simply place a "*" (without quotes) in place of the wildcard (example: Perfect*tion). One can also search for longer strings by placing quotes around the search text (example: "Game Soundtrack").
There are several options for searching the database. It is currently possible to search by Album Title, Catalogue Number, or Composer. To select the search type, click on the search by drop down menu and select the desired type.
One can also display the search results sorted alphanumerically by Album Title, Catalogue Number, or chronologically by Release Date with the earliest work listed first. To do so, simply click on the sort by drop down menu and select the desired type.
To display more than the default number of 25 results per page, click on the drop down menu that reads 25 by default and select the number to display on each results page. To change pages, click on the desired page number at the bottom of the search results page.
Description of Browse Functions
Occasionally, search criteria might not be available or applicable to the situation. To display all items in the database sorted alphanumerically by Album Title, Catalog Number, or chronologically by Release Date with the earliest work listed first, click on the desired browse type below the search area. Using the browse feature, 25 results will be displayed on each results page.
